Final entry for the OWAC IV : Chaos Altar and much more perversions

Long time since I post something. I didn't even post beastmen I did last month. Honestly I wasn't so proud of them :D I had to rush the painting. But if you want to see them, you can check it here : on the OWAC Page

So here is the last month ! As I presented in my little background in my first post, I wanted that the climax of my army would be its none playable miniatures, the army bagage train. I find it so funny, to me it is a huge opportunity to craft a unique army with that.

I wanted to use the Wet Nurse from Kingdom Death, but I also wanted to have a lazy character on a throne or a chariot... surrounded by slaves, demons, worshippers of any kind.

Let's start by the Lady's followers. The miniature in itself is Cersei Lannister from Dark Sword Miniatures. I used many slaves from the amazing "Brother Vini" range and also some old metal miniatures like the bard, the demon, and the slaves from the RP amazons chariot.

The mirror behind the Lady is of course the mirror daemon from AoS. You will also recognize some GW flagellants.

Then comes the most infamous one... the Wet Nurse. I've found a weird super heavy Star Wars miniature on ebay, I decided it will pull the altar. I can imagine the Wet Nurse is a kind of altar, or maybe just a daemon prince of Slaanesh that walks with its worshippers. 

Directly inspired by Hellraiser and Event Horizon, I wanted the high priest to be completely perverted. So want I saw the position of his arms I imagined him tearing his eyes off his face to offer them to the Dark Prince.

Then I imagined that the altar would be such a vision of madness that it could have an aura encouraging self mutilation, forcing cultists to offer their own flesh to Slaanesh.

Yes, please, Mighty Slaanesh, accept my flesh sacrifice, my own leg !

Fourth entry to the Old World Army Challenge : Keggox, Belius and friends

Because now, thing are getting serious in this "competition", after Steve had literally broken the game with his Cult of the Colossus army, I pushed myself to paint my Keggox and friends !!

I didn't want to make it pink as the Great Spined Dragon, so I try different layers to make its skin closer to corrupted flesh. Its scales are purple because I like to imagine him as an Amethyst Dragon with amethyst gemstones fused with its scales. I did the base with tree bark and some GW complements.

I felt he was a bit lonely so I decided to paint some friends for him :)

I had since a very long time a huge barbarian from Stephane Simon's own range, Belius. Stephane Simon is an amazing French sculptor that worked a long time with Rackham (he did all the nasty stuffs, Apostate of Darkness, Molochs...).

His miniatures are a real pleasure to paint : I feel like the paint is going by itself on the miniature :D

The miniature is very realistic compared to my Oldhammer stuff, but I like it very much. It will be a giant or an half giant.

And to conclude, I decided to add those old dark elves: one sorceror with 6 shades. Anyway, no Slaanesh army is completed without a contingent of depraved dark elves right ?

Long time no see !

I was just too lazy and busy to post on my blog but I did paint several new troops... Here some Ogres of Slaanesh, some Minotaurs of the Dark Prince and even some Dark Riders for my Cult of Pleasure.

Here are the ogres. As usual I used miniatures from many different ranges.

My favorite is clearly the "Master of Carnages" from Rackham. The most perfect wargaming miniature of all time to my own point of view.

My second favorite is "Goliath" from Stephane Simon. First the miniature is clearly outstanding, very brutal and insane but it is also a pleasure to paint. The areas are clearly well defined, the shapes very realistic but also not too complicated, I love it.

He recently made a KS, I can't wait to get my miniatures. You can also get his fantastic miniatures directly on his page.

The last one is a creature from "The Others". I love the design that shows the skin torn because of his excessive muscles.

En ce moment je bosse sur ça : une unité d'ogre de Slaanesh. Je ne voulais pas mettre de figs trop connues et me contenter de rajouter des grosses pinces ou des tentacules. Je me suis dit, "plus gros, plus pervers" donc je suis parti sur des conversions avec des chaines et d'autres éléments d'ambiance, ce n'est encore que le début.

Les figs figs sont un mélange de confrontation, GW et certaines du merveilleux Stéphane Simon, ancien sculpteur chez Rackham.

 

Ceux de devant (les apostats) seront des élus/guerriers de Slaanesh, les ogres sont au second rang.

 En parlant de Stéphane Simon, il réalise en ce moment un KS du feu de dieu, "The Saga of Belius the Black" auquel j'ai tout de suite participé.... la sculpture est magnifique et on retrouve l'esprit pervers et décalé que je recherche justement dans mes figs de Slaanesh.

Le KS a été complété en seulement 2 heures, mais vous pouvez toujours participer, c'est l'occasion d'avoir de très belles figurines, d'un créateur indépendant, à un prix abordable.
