Battle Report : the last raiders

After Space Hulk, we planned to play Warhammer on sunday afternoon, like in the old times :D

I wanted to play a Daemonic Legion of Slaanesh allied to my dark elves as I've just finished painting them.
Nico was playing his Chaos Horde of Khorne. Khorne vs Slaanesh, a genuine Realm of Chaos battle !

I played with the army list from the 5th edition and Nico was playing with the Chaos book from the 4th ed. Both editions work perfectly together.

The battle : 

I let Nico start to make him comes closer as he was not playing any magic.

My daemon prince and his chimera had a hard fight in the air. He charged and completly annihilated my daemonettes with his knights. The Dragon Ogre Hero massacre the mounted daemonettes but they occupied him well. 

In the middle, the which elves with the altar of slaanesh succeed to destroy the Chaos Warriors and the Beastmen and on my right the chaos hound, chaos spawn and fiends of Slaanesh were fighting in an eternal battle...

So Slaanesh forces finally won after a long and deadly battle with a lot of dead from both sides !!

Space Hulk !

Hi folks !

I had the privilege to be invited at Nico's place. If you don't know him yet, he is an Oldhammer fanatic and the guy behind this great blog.
He collects good old lead minis and is an awesome painter. Later I also discovered he is a very talented cook !! Well to be honest, the week end was good indeed :D

We decided to play Space Hulk on Saturday and Warhammer on Sunday.

Why Space Hulk ? well I've never been a big fan but I never played so much to it. The occasion was to try Nico's fantastic Space Hulk table.

He literally built everything. It is better than the spaceship in Alien.
Amazing, isn't ?

Everything is detailed and perfectly painted.
As he doesn't leave any detail behind, he also painted all the miniatures needed and the combat cards...

So first mission, I played the marines and I need to close the entry of the genestealers. 

Sorry I meant xenos scum my Lord.

I did my best but it was very hard to advance while being in overwatch, maybe I needed to be more offensive, the mission was a terrible fail !!

By the Emperor, They are coming !!!

My reception committee, we are prepared !! But all jammed...

I finally succeeded to open the door...

My brave sergent, who succeeded to slain 5 stealers in close combat before to die... 

Mission Two : defend the command board.

The stealers want to destroy the gates command control board. The mission of the marines is to defend it and stop them.

On this mission I had two squads with a lot of terminator heavy weapons (cyclone missile launcher, assault cannon...)

I think I didn't use them well and only one sergeant and one heavy flamer survived, but the mission was completed !! 

Looks like we are screwed :D

Back to back Brother !!

Traitor spotted !

The chaos champion and its babies, they suddenly met the heavy flamer :D

None shall pass !!

Mission Three, Xeno scum and daemons must be eradicated 

As spotted in mission 2, the xenos were in fact hidding a cult of Slaanesh, the Dark Prince of Chaos. Hum, must be why walls were whining...

This time I had the reinforcement of the Ordo Malleus itself... 5 grey knights, 1 Inquisitor and a Brother Archivist.

Despite the force points and the reinforcements, they were too numerous. I even didn't see the Patriach...

Well it was a great time anyway !!!
